Nelson Agrees to Debate Peralta
Donna Nelson has agreed to participate in the Debate on a different date. It is now going to be held on Friday October 27th at 6:00 PM in the same place, Melrose Auditorium (also known as Ice Auditorium) at Linfield College. Other than the date, time, and participants, all else remains the same. I send out thanks to Representative Nelson for agreeing to participate.

FYI: A few years back, I moderated a debate between Rep. Donna Nelson and her challenger professor Frank Nelson.
Within the first few minutes, the two of them agreed to pitch the previously-agreed-upon time limits. The debate descended into filibustering nonsense, and wasn't of any use to anyone.
I strongly recommend tight time limits that are enforced.
Kari is absolutely right; without strictly enforced time limits, Donna will talk endlessly about allusions to her leadership, her associations with successful people, her world travels with Evergreen, and a profusion of references to "precious" seniors and veterans. She wants to be all things to all people, and her solution for paying for it is to do a better job of collecting on the billions of dollars of state receivables. Good luck.
